a new buttery rich olive oil at The Cupboard

a new olive oil on the block

Wednesday, The Cupboard was full of activity.  The Breville sales representative was here and all sorts of new products were being put to the test to see if they would make the cut and gain shelf space at The Cupboard.  In this flurry of activity, there was an unexpected consequence, the discovery of an outstanding new olive oil.

The Breville Food Processor was whirling away as paper thin slices of onion, potato, zucchini, and carrot were piling up.  The rep was about to toss them in the trash when The Cupboard Cook intervened.  Quickly he procured a saute pan, some olive oil, cracked pepper and the said thin sliced vegetables.  In no time flat, he was bringing the rest of the staff a delicious vegetable melange.

Wow! How does he do it?  These simple vegetables were absolutely delicious.  Besides his cooking expertise, I can let you in on one secret…Merula Olive Oil.   These vegetables melted in my mouth with a rich, creamy smoothness I thought only came from butter.  However, there was not even a smidge of butter to be found.  Only Merula.  The other great secret about this olive oil…it is reasonably priced.  At $15.50 for a 500ml tin, one does not have to empty the bank account to afford this lovely little tin of olive oil.  Found waiting patiently for your cooking pleasure on the olive oil shelves at The Cupboard.
